Membership applications ahead of the 2026 AGM

Ballardong Aboriginal Corporation encourages anyone wishing to become a member ahead of the Annual General Meeting on Saturday 12 December 2026 to submit their completed membership application and supporting information as soon as possible.

BAC will provide applications to the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council (SWALSC) on Friday 30 October to allow sufficient time for assessment and processing prior to Board decision making.

Assessment timetable

30 October 2026: BAC provides applications and supporting information to SWALSC for assessment.

14 November 2026: SWALSC is scheduled to return its assessment outcomes to BAC.

16 November 2026: the BAC Board meets to consider membership applications.

12 December 2026: BAC holds its Annual General Meeting.

SWALSC is supporting several corporations with AGMs during this period and requires the full 14-day assessment period. Applications cannot be fast-tracked.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval before the AGM. Some applications may require further information or additional research before the Board can make a decision. Membership is subject to the eligibility requirements and processes in BAC’s Rule Book.

Can I still apply after 30 October?

Yes. Membership applications remain open throughout the year. Applications received after the October assessment submission may not be finalised before the AGM.

Under BAC’s Rule Book, applicants who apply after the formal AGM notice has been given cannot be entered on the Register of Members until after the AGM. BAC can continue receiving and assessing applications during this period.
